An introductory pack for Psychological services will be sent/given at the time of booking providing further detail on the following:
Payment is made at the end of each individual session or is pre-paid for workshops/groups/seminars. Payment method will depend on location facilities. Cash is the payment method if there are no EFTPOS or HiCaps facility that accepts debit card, Mastercard or Visa card (cheque is only accepted by prior arrangement). Full payment is required at the time of consultation.You may also be eligible for Medicare or Private Health Fund rebates (see below). Where there is a Hicaps facility you will be provided with same day return. Please note that the gap between rebates and the consultation fee is payable on the day.
The first step to accessing psychological services under the "Better Access to Mental Health Care" initiative is to talk with your GP to discuss your concerns. Your GP may then develop a Mental Health Plan of which a copy will be sent to Sage Pathways if you choose this service. Under this initiative you are eligible for up to 10 sessions in a calendar year (as well as 10 group sessions). Your GP will check in on your progress after 6 sessions to assess eligibility for a further 4 sessions.
Private Health Fund Rebates
You may be eligible for rebates through your private health fund. Sage Pathways is registered with most private health funds and uses the "Hicaps" facility for fast return on the day of consultation.
Please check with your Health fund with regards to eligibility and number of sessions available under your cover.
For those not eligible for Medicare or Private Health rebates sessions can be accessed privately.
Note: Hicaps may not be available at all locations. Where not available a receipt will be provided for rebates to be accessed.
Cancellation fees apply for less than 24 hours notice and between 24-48 hours notice. In your introductory pack, fee and cancellation policies will be explained in more detail.
